Last weekend's visit to the Peak District was not the best for photography. A little bit too windy. I think I need to pay more attention to the weather forecast next time. Still it is a wonderful place to visit for glorious views of the English Countryside. I hope to go back later in the summer. Here are some shots I did manage to get when the wind died down. If you click on the photographs it will take you through to the Peak District Gallery where you can see more.
Sunset, Carhead RocksSunset, Carhead Rocks
This photograph was taken at sunset from Carhead Rocks overlooking the village of Hathersage. The wind eventually died down for about 15 minutes.
Padley Gorge is a great place for long exposure shots. Also it is a bit more sheltered than up on the Peaks.
Sunrise, Curbar EdgeSunrise, Curbar Edge
I had to get up at 3.45 am to get this sunrise shot at Curbar Edge. I couldn't understand why I didn't see anyone else!
